barely notices the red that covers his palms ; barely notices much of anything ( adrenaline pumping through him, senses on high alert — on the lookout for a threat — it’s not surprising that he’s oblivious to any injuries gained ). there’s no sign of a THREAT any more, however, & it’s only when the son of hermes moves his sword from one hand to the other that he notices the BLOOD on his hands. how ? anyone’s guess. the realization as to his injuries is followed by a dull pang of delayed pain, but he barely takes any notice of it. he’s had worse ; he’s survived worse ; he’ll suffer worse. still — for him to not realize . . . had he done it HIMSELF ? looks over at elizabeth, raising one hand slightly. ❛ bleeding. ❜ despite the single word, his faintly quizzical tone & expression match. HOW ?
